Contract News: The Timberyard Deptford

We have recently been appointed by Lendlease to deliver an extensive external envelope package, including Façade Glazing & Cladding along with Steel Framing Systems and a PermaQuick hot melt waterproofing system to the roofs and podium, for The Timberyard Deptford - a new regeneration project in London.

Made up of six new neighbourhoods, The Timberyard Deptford has been cleverly designed to feature open-planned architecture. Creating a blend of traditional and contemporary, it will transform a previously underutilised site into a revitalised destination. A short walk from the River Thames, with 28 acres of surrounding parkland, The Timberyard Deptford is in Zone 2 with fantastic transport connections.

Cedarwood Square is Plot 2 of the project, and comprises five separate blocks. The neighbourhood is located parallel to The Waterline linear park running through the very heart of the Timberyard project. Made up of 203 homes, in a range of 1, 2, 3 and 4 bedroom apartments and townhouses, it is also home to restored pub The Victoria.

Set to begin onsite in May 2018, our scope of works to the façade will predominantly include various Glazing systems comprising a combination of curtain walling and aluminium composite windows, along with Steel Framing Systems (SFS) to support a traditionally built brick façade. Providing high thermal insulation, the cost-effective, lightweight frame backing structure will help both the speed of construction and aid quality assurance. In addition, further façade scope will feature a lightweight zinc rainscreen cladding system.

Across the project, our works will also include the roofing elements, which will comprise of a PermaQuick hot melt waterproofing system.
