Prater, following successful completion of Phase 1 & 2 has again been appointed by Aspire Defence to work on Phase3 of Project Allenby/Connaught – a £1.2 bn PFI construction programme for the MOD.
Aspire Defence is a joint venture between Carillion and KBR established to carry out on behalf of the MOD, an ambitious 10 year construction programme to update soldiers working and living accommodation at 4 garrisons in Wiltshire and Hampshire.
For Phase 3 Prater will carry out building works on a range of 12 buildings commencing in September – the buildings including workshops, accommodation blocks and dining halls will feature a number of elements of the building envelope: colour coated standing seam and single ply membranes, composite rainscreen cladding, soffits and fascias.
As in Phase 1 & 2, Prater’s design team have been involved at an early stage liaising with the project architects to ensure a smooth transition from conception to installation.
