There was a feeling of optimism across the board as manufacturers and suppliers from across the UK gathered at Prater’s 3rd Annual Supply Chain Conference.
More than one-hundred supply chain partners met at the company’s offices in Surrey to discuss the future of the UK Construction Market and the challenge that they collectively face.
Keynote speakers from Lloyds TSB Corporate Markets; Bovis Lend Lease and Prater, identified areas of growth for the industry as well as the challenges faced by contractors, subcontractors and suppliers over the coming year. The conference ended with a humorous speech from legendary England cricketer, Alec Stewart OBE.
Andy Newman, Business Development Director at Prater said: “It is really important for us to continue to strengthen relationships with our supply chain partners during these difficult periods. The focus of this year’s conference was to outline the real time challenges we now face, our strategic vision, aspirations and needs moving forward in the short, medium and long term.
“By being transparent on these issues, we are able to build robust and meaningful supplier relationships, during what are extremely challenging times for the UK construction market.”
