Health and Safety Expand

A safe working environment is at the heart of everything we do and our uncompromising approach to the safety of every employee, client and supplier is a cornerstone of the Lindner Prater belief system.

With health and safety a core value of our business, our aim is to be recognised as the safest building envelope contractor in the UK.

In order to achieve this, we take an uncompromising approach to health and safety on every single project irrespective of scale or complexity, setting key performance indicators, measuring goals, and minimising risks.

These are just some of the ways in which we create and manage our culture of health and safety across every aspect of or business:

  • Conformity to ISO 45001:2018
  • Consistently successful certification to Achilles and CHAS and others
  • Frequent site inspections by our in-house H&S managers
  • Regular project inspections by senior management and directors
  • Setting annual health and safety improvement programmes
  • Focusing on health and safety behaviours and competence of all who work for Lindner Prater
  • Reporting all near misses or any change in conditions

This focus on ensuring that everyone is on board and that risks are identified on a daily basis has played a significant role in improving our own health and safety record.

Community Activities Expand

We take tremendous pride in actively supporting many local community activities as well as national charity and fundraising events, and we aim to drive genuine community engagement through a range of initiatives.

Last year, we maintained this commitment through a variety of sponsoring and fundraising initiatives for:

  • Sparks
  • The Willow Foundation
  • Save the Children
  • Make A Wish
  • Comic Relief
  • Breast Cancer Awareness
  • Macmillan Cancer Support
  • The Royal British Legion

As a corporate partner of Surrey Wildlife Trust, we are delighted that so many of our people have taken part in ‘Environmental Challenge Days’, working on projects to benefit wildlife, fauna and flora in the county.

Every year we adopt a different local charity and organise fundraising events to raise money for much needed equipment.

Individual employees and teams from Lindner Prater have also been active in their support for schools, scout groups children’s football teams and other charities, willingly becoming involved and reflecting our corporate desire – and responsibility – to support the communities in which we work.

Environmental Management Expand

As one of the UK’s leading companies operating in our specialist construction sector, we recognise our responsibility for reducing the impact our work activities have on the natural and built environment.

We aim to provide a positive and sustainable contribution to the environment within which we operate, whilst maintaining a leading point of reference for all to refer and learn from.

As part of this, we have developed an environmental management system in accordance with ISO 14001:2015, and we are committed to complying with all legal, client and other requirements.

We are also committed to preventing pollution throughout our operations, and to the continual improvement of our environmental performance through the following objectives and targets:

  • Improve our efficiency in the way we use material resources
  • Reduce energy use
  • Reduce waste on site (early design development, optimised material usage) or responsible disposal
  • Work with suppliers to ensure packaging can be re-used

Key to this is our increased engagement of clients, staff and supply chain, and the drive to create a working culture in which environmental management is central to everything we do and complements our health, safety and quality goals.
